Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
Anyone who knows me knows that I am a notorious Harry Potter fan. This painting is my representation of a Patronus - a sort of spirit guardian that represents the witch or wizard in the form of an animal.
I am a Baltimore, MD based artist working predominantly in oils and digital mediums. I am a self-taught artist. My interest in art came from my artist grandfather who took an avid interest in my art from a very young age. My grandfather always critiqued my art in a way that encouraged me to create more art. I spent years perfecting my skills in graphite and charcoal focusing mostly on human figures and faces (the same mediums and topics my grandfather drew.) After high school I took a few classes at a local community college and discovered that I loved the adventure of color. Since I had never seen myself as a painter I never took any painting classes. Until, I took a color theory class. I thought it would be terribly boring but...
